Flexographic
Printing
This is carried out at the
primary envelope making stage, while the paper is still flat and
unfolded, by the
Winkler & Dunnember envelope making machine.
Flexographic printing uses water based inks
and a flexible plate and has cost advantages when you have a
reasonable sized order to place.

Lithographic
Printing
This is carried out by
our Halm Jets on stock envelopes. This process uses oil based inks
with a metal plate and is normally the option for fast turnaround smaller
quantity jobs. The screen density is higher at 150 dpi, which means you
get a sharper and stronger print. Lithographic printing normally works out
more expensive on the larger runs as the envelopes are overprinted on our
stock and have to be unpacked, printed and then repacked.
